The main area of Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Park is now open to the public. The original site used to be the Zhongshan Elderly Care Home which was built in 1986, with the contributions from Chung Shan Commercial Association Hong Kong, overseas compatriots, and various sectors of Zhongshan society. After minor renovations, it has been reconstructed into Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Park. The park covers an area of approximately 44,000 square meters, preserving and continuing the existing cultural and garden resources. The transformation incorporates the Sponge City Concept to create a harmonious and sustainable human-ecological environment.

原址微改造，活化“侨文化”，由香港中山侨商会及众多旅外乡亲、中山社会各界人士捐资，于1986年落成的中山市颐老院，在原址上改建成中山市华侨公园。公园占地面积约44000平方米，原有文化和园林资源得以保存和延续。改造中运用“海绵城市”理念，营造和谐发展的人文生态环境。

Access to the park's east parking lot is available from Taoyuan Road, with a total of 116 parking spaces for small vehicles.

停车指引：从桃苑路可进入公园东侧停车场，小车位116个。
